A dream that came true

A dream was the starting point for Norbert Schwalbe when he bought the old villa. The family wanted to be the host, with employees who enjoyed their job.

A large villa building from 1893 was the starting point. Carefully restored on the outside, completely new, stylishly renovated rooms on the inside. The knowledge of the possibilities of gastronomy today was optimally combined here and produced an all-round convincing result. A new hotel contract has emerged from the villa and is managed by Annette Schwalbe, daughter of the owner.

With 25 apartments and 5 extremely exclusive suites with 59 beds, it offers the perfect cosiness.

Cosiness

A music and fireplace room and a library invite you to linger. It goes without saying that spacious conference rooms with the latest conference technology are also available. Two small extra rooms can also be used for work groups.

The physical well-being of our guests is very important to us.

An optically unusually shaped swimming pool with counter-current system as well as sauna, steam bath, whirlpool and a small fitness room allow a variety of relaxation options.

Comfort

A long conference can also become a short vacation. The Villa Hammerschmiede has ample parking space. We are happy to offer our hotel guests the use of the hotel's underground car park. No tedious searching, but starting, getting out and feeling good.

From 1993 to February 2005, Markus Nagy was responsible for the kitchen of the house. In 1996, the Villa Hammerschmiede was first awarded a star by the Michelin Guide for its outstanding performance.

Thomas Balensiefer ran the kitchen from March 2005 to April 2008. From May 2008 to January 2011, Patrick Spies was the sole head chef of the house. Before he came to Villa Hammerschmiede in 2005 as a sous chef, he cooked, among other things. a. with Jörg Müller on Sylt and with Bernd Stollwerk on Gut Lärchenhof.

The Villa Hammerschmiede wants to show its guests how sensible hotel comfort and sophisticated restaurant culture can look today if there is a clear concept behind it.

But without the real love of gastronomy and the hotel industry, without the fun and commitment to and for this profession, the Villa Hammerschmiede would ultimately "only" be a - albeit a very attractive - hotel.

Our employees in all areas simply enjoy their jobs. And perhaps this is the most remarkable thing about the Villa Hammerschmiede.
